Patrons Update April 2003

Dear Patron

Here is the latest update of Bass Charity Vase News for 2003. Firstly I have to inform you of the death of John Crowson one of our Patrons, and long time supporter of the Bass Charity Vase. When I first joined the committee in 1979 John along with Ken Fairbrother was one of the mainstays of our activities. His hard work on behalf of the Vase continued up to his retirement from Bass. Ken and myself will be attending John's funeral on Thursday April 17th. John's family have very kindly asked that any donations in his memory be made to the Bass Charity Vase.

SPORTMANS EVENING .

As promised two tickets are available to our patrons for the forthcoming Sportsman's evening. A draw was made at our committee meeting on April 14th which resulted in Peter Davies and Nick Hardy having their names drawn out of the hat by the Chairman as being the lucky recipients. Please note that April 22nd is last day to contact Brian Eccleshall for tickets.

BASS CHARITY VASE SOCCER TOURNAMENT

I am pleased to be able to tell you that all of last years' teams have again entered the competition. The Fixtures and venues are listed in the 2003 Football Competition link in the left hand menu.
